03/25/2005: "Great Night For Mom"

She wins with all three teams she still had alive, and in the other game gets to see Bobby Knight knocked out of the tournament. The new standings...

Morton Witherspoon: 52 points
Mom: 49
Caroline: 49*
Me: 47*
Casey: 47*

*championship team knocked out

Quick pick for tomorrow night, if only to put the ol' JSKB (Jesse Spector Kai-Bosh) on them -- UNC huge over Villanova.

Seems to me that the ole Kai-Bosh [sic] you're invoking is directed at good ole Morton--and don't bother denying it.

You are not the only one who has Villanova. Seems to me the leader of the pack is doing an awful lot of griping. Getting nervous about your lead?
Go Louisville!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, Mom is the only one who picked Villanova, except for the original Casey coin-flip picks. I still expect UNC to win big tonight, and they're my only Final Four team left, but I don't care, because of a particular distaste for Roy Williams. Still, let the record also show that Villanova is second only to Princeton on the list of college teams I'd like to see brutalized. So I'm torn on this game.

If I remember correctly, Dad also has Villanova.
This message is coming to you from Patchogue. Will have to check the sheets when we get home tomorrow.
Go Louisville!!!!!!!!!!!

Dad has UNC as his national champion, so that should settle that without looking at the sheets.
