Back to the tournament... sorry I haven't written about anything else lately. I failed to fill the gap between weekends, but I've been quite busy with work, blah, blah, blah, you know. Anyway...
Picks for tonight's games:
Caroline: Illinois, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Gonzaga
Casey: Illinois, Southern Illinois, Louisville, Gonzaga
Me: Illinois, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Gonzaga
Mom: Illinois, Arizona, Louisville, Wake Forest
Morton Witherspoon: Illinois, Arizona, Washington, Gonzaga
And, since it's never too late, my all-first weekend team:
G: Mike Gansey, West Virginia
G: Ed McCants, Wisconsin-Milwaukee
F: Ivan McFarlin, Oklahoma State
F: Adam Morrison, Gonzaga
C: Brandon Bass, LSU
I know that Morrison and Bass are out of the tournament, and that Morrison missed the shot that could have tied the game, but without those two guys, their teams would have been slaughtered. And since LSU was slaughtered, it would have been even worse. Those are the five guys who impressed me most in the first set of games, at least.
