12/04/2004: "Pictures 12: Jamaica, Mon!"
Some pictures from my recent trip to Jamaica.
Of course, it was Jamaica, Queens, not the fun one. If you're a fan of Fulton Mall in Brooklyn or Market Street by the Gallery in Philadelphia, you'll love Jamaica Avenue and the 165th Street Mall.

There are a series of these statues on the 165th Street Mall, all with the arms in different positions, as if there's some sort of homage to jumping jacks going on.
A better workout, and a necessary one after a trip to McDonald's, is a rooftop dance party. I know about the Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's in Chicago, but where is the Soul Train McDonald's? I see no current franchises as participating locations.
The Jamaica Colosseum Mall has some delusion of being sports-related. The "lower level shopping arena" has much more to do with gold chains and metallic teeth than sports.
On 89th Avenue, right next door to...
I don't understand this one at all.
